2020 has been without a doubt a crappy year, to say the very least. Some may not have enough food to celebrate the holidays and some may not even have someone to spend it with. Suffice to say It has been a difficult time for each and every one of us in some way or another. Knowing this, how can I make a difference this holiday season? What can I really do? I’ll be exploring some ideas in this blog post.
I’m fortunate enough to have my whole family with me throughout the entirety of the lockdown. Lord knows how I’m grateful for them. So I’d just thought that I should spend a little more time with them this time. Ironic, no? To clarify, we’re often in our own little digital bubbles most of the time and I want to make up for that during the holidays.
Since I haven’t seen my friends for a long time now, I thought I would take this opportunity to greet them and strike up meaningful conversations. It would be great to catch up and reminisce about life before the pandemic. It’ll be also interesting to know what they have been up to, what new hobbies they are interested in, what small revelations they might have during the lockdown. And I would also get a chance in sharing my own tidbits. Doing this just feels great!
I may not be able to do much while I myself have been struggling for months but these are the least I can do for the people I love, given the situation. Its the little things that make a lasting impact.
